Privacy notice

Effective September 23, 2026. Pantry Match is operated by Burks Bored, a Missouri, United States business.

Information we collect

When you create an account, Pantry Match stores your email address, password hash, email-verification state, an optional display name, and account timestamps. We also store your selected pantry ingredients, saved meal-planner settings and results, account role, and Plus access state. The service may process standard technical data such as session identifiers, request timing, IP-derived security signals, and error logs needed to operate and protect the site.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, save your pantry and plans, provide recipe matching and Plus features, send account verification and password-reset messages, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and respond to support or legal requests. We do not sell your personal information.

Account security

Passwords are stored as salted, computationally derived hashes, not plaintext. Session, email-verification, and password-reset tokens are stored as hashes, expire, and can be revoked or used only as designed. Requests may be rate-limited. No online service can promise absolute security, so use a unique password and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Service providers and subscriptions

Pantry Match uses hosting and database infrastructure to run the service, Resend to deliver account email, and Stripe for hosted checkout, subscription billing, and the customer portal. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy notices. Pantry Match stores Stripe customer and subscription references, status, configured plan identifier, and billing-period details for access control, but does not receive or store full card numbers.

Retention and deletion

Account, pantry, and planner data are kept while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service. Security, transaction, and support records may be retained as needed for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. You may request account deletion; some limited records may remain where retention is required or reasonably necessary.

Your choices

You may update your display name and pantry in the service, manage billing through Stripe, and request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by email. You may stop using the service at any time. Account email required for security and billing cannot be opted out of while the related action is requested or subscription is active.

Recipe and nutrition information

Saved pantry and planner selections are associated with your profile. Nutrition estimates are derived from ingredient catalog data and may differ from the food you prepare. Do not send health records, card numbers, government identifiers, or other unnecessary sensitive information to support.

Children

Pantry Match is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe a child has provided account information.

Changes and contact
